General terms of Business


The term Agent in these General terms of business means any person or company that acts for and on behalf of a person selling a property.

1 Wimbledon HIPS reserves the right at its sole discretion, to accept or decline any or all instructions to provide a Home Information Pack (HIP) or Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

2 The instructing Agent shall be responsible for any and all information provided to Wimbledon HIPS regarding instructions for HIP’s or EPC’s. The Agent shall be liable for any costs incurred by Wimbledon HIPS Ltd due to errors or omissions in the information provided to Wimbledon HIPS by the Agent.

3 Any instructions received by Wimbledon HIPS from an Agent to provide a HIP or EPC is deemed acceptance of Wimbledon HIPS Terms and Conditions.

4a The Hip will contain Personal Local Searches that are compliant with Government Regulations. If alternative searches are required, the cost of these searches will be met by the Agent.

4b Wimbledon HIPS does not acquire or obtain information in its own right (with the exception of the EPC) but collects information provided by third parties. Wimbledon HIPS does not accept responsibility for the accuracy of the information collected from third parties.

5 Wimbledon HIPS will not be responsible for any delay in producing the HIP.

6 Upon instruction of a HIP the Agent becomes immediately liable for the full cost of the HIP.

7 Any cancellation costs will be met by the Agent.

8 Wimbledon HIPS will make a charge to the Agent for each and every HIP or EPC that is instructed by the Agent.

9 The Agent shall make provision of payment to Wimbledon HIPS within ten working days of receiving the HIP or EPC unless other terms have been expressly agreed in writing by Wimbledon HIPS .

10 The EPC will be commissioned under the terms and conditions of Wimbledon Energy.
